Nice to hear from you. Man, I've been playin guitar for a long time now and I have to say that there is something soulful and honest about an old beat up guitar. It's a lot more than tone. if the guitar has been to hell and back, that says something to me. Have you seen Willie Nelson's guitar lately? Held together with a bunji chord.

Hell yeah man. As as Seattle/LA fan myself, I get the same vibe. Not sure whether I love that about them or hate it. Guess it depends where I am.

I've seen the fellas about 6 times total. everytime i've seen em, its been in Seattle, Portland, or Spokane, WA.

I flew down to see em at the West Hollywood HOB on the 11th, and WOW.

The guys seemed WAAAAYYYY more into it than usuall. Must be since they all drive from home instead of being couped up in a tour bus away from family. Mike was kinda pissed cause someone rear ended him on the way to the show. He joked about it.

I couldnt believe how violent the show was. Every other song someone was getting rolled up by security, and tossed. Been to many punk shows and have never seen that many tossed.

Saw a guy with "sick Boy" tatooed on his forehead...and the skellie tattoed on the back of his head. I told him he was a fairweather fan.

Played Cold feelings acoustic which was unbelievable eery, but really awsome. Johny's acoustic looked so old it might cave in at any moment. Was kinda bummed mike didnt play his taylor with his name on the fret board.

Played born to lose, and all the classics, along with some new songs, and new endings to old songs.

Great set, and was way better than any show i've seen in the Northwest. Just a totally different feel, and the band was way more into the show. Mike said..."technically we are off the clock but i think we can do one more".....they played for 1 hr 40 minutes...which is about 35 minutes longer than most of the shows in Seattle.

Brent seemed energetic and stoked the whole show. He was really getting into it.

The opening band was pretty decent too, and played a cool version of Petty's American girl.
